Job Description

Tourism Revelstoke is seeking a bold, grounded leader to guide the organization, and the destination, into its next chapter. This is a community-facing, future-focused leadership role rooted in wild places, big ideas, and real relationships.
As Executive Director, you will champion Revelstoke’s visitor economy while staying deeply connected to the people, landscapes, and values that define the community. You’ll lead a small, high-performing team, work closely with the Board, partners, and local leaders, and help shape how Revelstoke shows up in the world, ensuring tourism supports the place we call home.

Who We Are
Tourism Revelstoke is the Destination Marketing & Management Organization (DMMO) for Revelstoke, BC. We are a non-profit organization contracted by the City of Revelstoke to deliver the 5-year Strategic Business Plan for the use of the Municipal and Regional District Tax (MRDT) as it relates to marketing and destination management.
We operate on a partnership model that allows us to collaborate broadly across the tourism sector. While official voting partners are currently limited to traditional accommodation providers as defined in our bylaws, our work is designed to reflect and support the wider tourism ecosystem.
We live and work on the traditional lands of the Sinixt, Secwépemc, Ktunaxa, and Syilx Okanagan peoples. We acknowledge these lands and are committed to learning, listening, and supporting Indigenous tourism where appropriate.
Vision: Revelstoke is a world-class destination while being an authentic and vibrant community.

The Executive Director reports to the Tourism Revelstoke Board of Directors and leads the organization through the delivery of its 5-Year Strategic Business Plan and annual tactical plans.
At the core of this role is leadership through clarity; creating the conditions where people, ideas, and partnerships can do their best work. You lead with calm through change and uncertainty, using insight, data, and evidence to guide decisions and demonstrate value. You balance big-picture strategy with hands-on execution.
How You Lead
Strategy: Sets clear purpose, priorities, and direction.
Culture: Leads in values-driven, inclusive, and collaborative ways.
Structure & Process: Establishes clear roles, accountability, and effective ways of working.
Data & Performance: Uses data to track progress, evaluate impact, and adapt strategy.

This is a rare opportunity to lead and shape the future of a destination that inspires passion, pride, and connection. In Revelstoke, tourism is not just about visitors, it’s about supporting a thriving community, protecting our extraordinary landscapes, and creating lasting value for residents and businesses alike.
