Job Description
The Crystal Lodge is hiring a Front Office Supervisor!
This is a great opportunity for experienced Front Desk or Reservations Agents looking to take the next step in their hospitality career.
As a Front Office Supervisor, you will support the Front Office leadership team by stepping into a key role that balances exceptional guest service with operational support. This is an entry-level leadership position designed to help you build the skills necessary to grow into future management roles within the hotel.
You’ll work closely with the rest of the Front Office team, acting as a point of contact during shifts to ensure standards are upheld and the guest experience is consistently excellent.
Some of the duties you will be expected to complete include, but are not limited to:
Checking guests in/out of the hotel, assisting with luggage, car valet, and providing concierge support to ensure every guest has a memorable stay.
Supporting fellow team members with escalated guest service issues and helping resolve concerns in a professional, solutions-focused manner.
Acting as a communication link between departments, ensuring all relevant information is passed on clearly to the Night Audit and senior leadership teams.
Maintaining knowledge of hotel procedures and policies and assisting new team members as they get up to speed.
Helping to ensure all guest incidents are handled appropriately and documented accurately.
Assisting with services such as bell/valet, bike and ski storage, depending on the season.
Supporting sales efforts by achieving walk-in and up-sell targets.
Resolving guest billing questions in the absence of senior management.
Please note: This list is not exhaustive. As a key part of the Front Office team, the successful candidate will also assist with other duties as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
A full, valid BC driver’s license is essential.
The ideal candidate will have:
At least 2 years of experience in a guest-facing customer service role
Previous experience as a Front Desk or Reservations Agent
A genuine interest in stepping into a leadership support role
Confidence in making decisions and solving problems independently
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Experience using systems such as RDP, LodgeNet, Protobase, and Microsoft Office
A tourism/hospitality diploma or a second language are assets
All Front Office Supervisors are trained to complete Night Audit duties and may be scheduled for occasional overnight shifts to support vacations or coverage needs.
