Job Description
Prestige Oceanview Hotel in Prince Rupert, BC is looking for a permanent, full-time Guest Services Coordinator (Front Desk Coordinator).
In this position, you will be responsible for assisting the General Manager with any assigned aspects of the hotel operations. You will provide the leadership for all of the Guest Services Agents, including Night Auditors, and the services that they provide.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
What does an ideal candidate look like?
– Excellent communication and customer service skills
– Front desk experience is an asset
– Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Duties & Responsibilities
– Interact effectively with resort guests and co-workers to create a positive experience
– Monitor, respond, and process guests’ online feedback of hotel
– Handle guest registration and room assignments; accommodating special requests whenever possible in a timely manner
– Process group arrivals and departures
- Take, cancel, and change room reservations
- Answer all incoming phone calls in a professional manner
– Ensure privacy of guests
– Provide information on resort facilities and services with hours of operation
– Share general information on points of interest in the area and services in the community
- Process guest departures, calculate charges, and receive payment
– Understand basic accounting principles, including debit and credit transactions
– Complete the daily Front Desk duty sheet
– Support Guest Service Agents (in the absence of General Manager, Assistant GM, or Guest Services Supervisor)
- Assist with training of Guest Service Agents
– Assists with scheduling
– Assist the General Manager with Accounts Receivable, including company credit applications, invoicing, and collections
- Act as a concierge at front desk for guests
– Complete other duties as assigned by the General Manager
