Job Description
Are you looking for a summer adventure? Do you want to spend your summer getting paid to be where
others vacation but you call home?
If you are hardworking, self-motivated, highly attentive, friendly, and willing to learn, then this position
is for you! We are looking for talent who can either commute on a daily basis or accommodations
can be provided to work as a housekeeper and kitchen help at Nemiah Valley Lodge. We are looking for
someone who could be come back for upcoming seasons. No experience is required–– just a positive
attitude, an interest in the outdoors, and a strong work ethic!
An ideal candidate should offer the following attributes: a positive and professional attitude, excellent
attention to detail, the ability to work within a team atmosphere and a passion for providing guests with
a personalized and elegant accommodation experience.

Nemiah Valley is located between Chilko Lake and the Taseko Lakes in the Chilcotin Region of BC’s
Central Interior. It is home to the Xeni Gwet’in community, part of the Tŝilhqot’in Nation (which loosely translates to ‘People of the Blue River).

Canada’s southernmost intact wilderness environments, you will feel immersed in a remote, ‘off-grid’

Responsibilities & Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
● Requires high sanitation standards and awareness of public health regulations.
● Detailed cleaning of guest cabins – making beds, cleaning bathrooms, windows and floors.
● Cleaning public spaces (main lodge and lake house)
● Laundry for the lodge and cabins
● Keeping the laundry area clean and organized.
● Cleaning lakefront equipment.
● Assist Chef/Second Cook when needed.
● Assist with serving guests and washing dishes.
● Town runs to pick up supplies.
● Any additional tasks needed for maintaining good customer service associated with guest
comfort.
Qualifications:
● Experience in housekeeping is preferred. Training will be provided to the right applicant.
● Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
● Strong orientation to providing excellent customer service.
● Good verbal communication skills.
● FoodSafe is required.
● Valid BC drivers license
