Job Opportunity:

We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Operations Coordinator to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and customer-focused environment. This is a seasonal contract with full time hours. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced settings, enjoys working with people, and has strong problem-solving skills. As Operations Coordinator, you will support daily ground operations including the team of Tour Guides and Drivers. Available to work a flexible full-time schedule.

A day in the life of a Landsea Tours Operations Coordinator:

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will assist in all aspects of day-to-day sightseeing and charter tours. Your day will involve supporting Driver Tour Guides and Shuttle Drivers logistically to ensure tours run smoothly from start to finish. You will serve as the primary point of contact in the absence of the Operations Manager, addressing operational issues as they arise. This role also includes communicating with the Fleet Maintenance department as well as coordinating with Accounting and Reservations. Occasionally, your day may include filling in as a Shuttle Driver or Tour Guide to ensure continuity of service.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

How you’ll make an impact

● Manage the daily activities of ground operations, including Driver Tour Guides, Shuttle drivers, Vehicle Detailers, and “Meet and Greet” teams.

● Assist with vehicle assignments, tour splits, and guest distribution logistics.

● Provide road staff with the resources and real-time updates (like weather or traffic alerts) to perform their roles effectively.

● Prioritize the safety and comfort of staff and customers while ensuring compliance with provincial and federal transportation regulations.

● Troubleshoot technological issues encountered by guides and maintain supplies used by road staff.

● Handle “vehicle rescues” by delivering substitute vehicles and managing on-the-road emergencies.

● Assist with the scheduling of Operations

What you’ll bring to the role

● You have a valid BC Class 2 or 4 (unrestricted) driver’s license

● You’re friendly, welcoming and love talking to people

● You work well both independently and as part of a team

● You have strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills

● You have strong communication skills and attention to detail

● You’re flexible to changing environments and are able to handle issues professionally in a fast-paced environment

● You have a clean driving record and can demonstrate your ability to drive large vehicles.

● You have demonstrable mechanical aptitude

● You’re familiar with the use of Windows and Mac operating systems

● You are willing to work a semi-flexible schedule that may include weekends and overtime

● You’re legally entitled to work in Canada

● You’re able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

● You’re fluent in English, both written and oral

Assets to this role (but not required):

● In-depth knowledge of Vancouver, Whistler, and Victoria

● Previous experience in a customer service role

● Post-secondary training or work experience in tourism or hospitality

● Ability to speak other languages

● Experience with dispatching and the effective distribution of resources.

● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and Google Workspace.

● Experience with booking systems (Ventrata) or logistics software (GeoTab, Samsara)

Salary/Wage

23.00 - $27.00 per hour
