The Rental Service Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating the front-line rental and retail sales team, overseeing fleet scheduling and repairs, and ensuring smooth coordination between Great Canadian Tours and Full Speed Rentals. The successful candidate will ensure customer satisfaction, staff performance, and operational efficiency throughout the season. The Rental Service Supervisor must have the ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, and be able to problem-solve in order to effectively deal with staff as well as internal and external customers.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Supervisory and Operational Duties:
– Supervise and coordinate the work of front desk staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
– Ensure effective daily communication between the front desk, mechanical, and other team members to coordinate rentals efficiently.
– Enforce company standards for customer service, safety, and equipment handling.
– Help out with daily operations as needed.
– Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and issues in a professional manner.
– Oversee rental transactions, cash handling, and POS reporting.
Fleet Coordination and Maintenance Support:
– Monitor and manage fleet availability, repair jobs, maintenance schedules, and service records in coordination with our partner company Full Speed Rentals.
– Coordinate with mechanics to prioritize vehicle repairs, minimizing downtime.
– Track and maintain accurate logs of all repairs, inspections, and fleet rotations.
– Assist with parts orders, supply management, and vendor communications as needed.
Administrative and Reporting Duties:
– Maintain accurate records of rentals, sales, and fleet maintenance reports.
– Prepare weekly operational summaries for management.
– Support management with seasonal hiring, training, and performance reviews.
– Participate in developing and implementing improved rental processes and systems.
Qualifications and Skills
– Completion of secondary school or higher.
– Min of 2 years of supervisory or lead experience in a retail, rental, or service-based business.
– Previous experience in power sports, mechanical services, or outdoor recreation is an asset.
– Knowledge of snowmobile or small-engine maintenance preferred.
– Proficiency with scheduling tools, POS systems, and general office software.
– Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail.
– Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays during peak season.
– Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment, multitasking
