Restaurant Supervisor: Your West Coast Adventure Awaits!

We are dedicated to preserving the timeless art of sport fishing while nurturing the next generation of anglers. Our mission is to provide an unparalleled luxury fishing experience that not only immerses our guests in the natural beauty of our surroundings but also instills a deep appreciation for fishing and the environment.

This full-time position has an anticipated start date of approximately June 1st, and an end date of approximately September 15th, 2024. Contract length is subject to change based on the location and the demands of the season.

Drive west along one of the most scenic highways in Canada through the spectacular mountainous landscape of Strathcona Park and the village of Gold River towards Tahsis. Approximately 2 hours by road from Campbell River on Vancouver Island is Moutcha Bay Resort, on the waters of Nootka Sound.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Requirements of Restaurant Supervisor:

• Outstanding customer service skills.
• 2 or more years of restaurant service experience.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Basic numeracy and cash handling experience.
• Computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft, Word, Outlook, Excel, and Teams.
• Serving it Right certification.
• Food Safe Level 1 (preferred).

Duties for Restaurant Server:

• Oversight and organization of the departmental workflow.
• Onboarding, training, support, coaching, and discipline of all front-of-house employees.
• Scheduling of employees according to coverage needs and business demands.
• Reviewing, editing, and submitting payroll in a timely manner.
• Supervision of employee productivity and assigning tasks during downtime.
• Thoroughly know the restaurant menu, ingredients, and pairings.
• Prepare, set, and clear tables according to standards, paying special attention to cleanliness and atmosphere.
• Take guest’s food and beverage orders accurately and enter them into the POS system.
• Serving food to guests as prepared by the kitchen in a timely manner.
• Answer questions about the resort, the restaurant, the menu, and the local area with a positive attitude.
• Process payments, provide change, and create cash-outs.
• Continuously communicate with the kitchen and other service team members in a respectful and proactive manner
