About the Role

The Room Attendant ensures the comfort of our guests by cleaning and maintaining guest rooms and hallways to Resort standards.

What You’ll Do

Daily clean guest rooms of the Resort as per shift schedule and job responsibilities defined on the Daily Worksheets. Some competencies would include but are not limited to:
Cleaning duties – sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, disinfecting, polishing and general cleaning duties.
Able to make beds, change sheets and deliver guest amenities as required.
Lost and found items are to be bagged and labeled with description of item, location of where item was found, current date and name of Room Attendant. All lost and found items are to be brought down to the lost and found department at the earliest convenience daily. Policy to be provided.
Ensures all rooms are cleaned, ensuring amenities, applicable stock is placed or replaced in rooms to resort standards.
Ensures all patios and guest room doors are secured on completion of room cleaning. Turning out lights and setting heat/air conditioning to appropriate seasonal settings.
Complete additional job-related duties as assigned.
Makes notes of any possible damage in rooms and forward immediately to Facilities Department. All maintenance request or engineering request not fulfilled during the day must be brought forward to the Housekeeping Manager and/or Housekeeping Supervisors.
Able and willing to do afternoon/evening shifts as a “Night Maid”.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

What You Need to Have

Minimum 1-year Housekeeping experience in a hotel or resort preferred.
WHMIS certification is an asset.
Housekeeping /Janitorial skills courses would be an asset.
WHMIS certification is an asset.
Ability to swim is an asset.
Customer service skills required.
Ability to safely lift, pull, push, or carry possibly up to 50 pounds.
Flexibility to work a changing schedule (graveyards shifts, evenings, weekends, holidays, etc.).
