Responsibilities & Qualifications

What You’ll Do
We are seeking a reliable and thoughtful Staff Cook to prepare daily meals for our resort team, supporting morale and well-being through quality food. This role is ideal for a chef passionate about seasonally driven cuisine, hyper-local sourcing, and refined fine-dining execution, inspired by the land, sea, and cultural heritage of the region. This is a seasonal, onsite position that runs from May 1st to October 1st. Onsite staff accommodation provided.

Seasonal, hyper-local ingredients sourced from the surrounding coastline, forests, and waters
Foraged elements gathered responsibly and in rhythm with the land
Line-caught and sustainably harvested seafood, reflective of West Coast waters
Indigenous-inspired ingredients and techniques, used with care, respect, and acknowledgment of their cultural significance
Clean, elegant plates that allow ingredients to speak for themselves

Key Responsibilities
Prepare nutritious, balanced staff meals daily
Manage ordering and efficient use of ingredients
Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards
Work closely with the culinary leadership team
What You Bring
Qualifications
Experience cooking for groups or staff kitchens preferred
Organized, efficient, and dependable
Strong sense of hospitality and care for others
Comfortable working independently
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with dietary restrictions and accommodating guest needs.
OFA 3 / Advanced First Aid certification is an asset.
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment.
Capable of standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds
What We Offer
Hourly wage: $20–$23, depending on experience
Staff accommodation provided
Staff cafeteria and meals provided
End-of-season bonus for chefs who complete the full season
