Job Description

Qualitour is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Travel Consultant to join our team in Vancouver, BC. The successful candidate will assist clients with planning and booking domestic and international travel, selling travel products and insurance, and providing expert travel advice. This role requires strong sales skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:
1. Sell travel products, travel insurance, and related services
2. Calculate travel and accommodation costs
3. Make transportation and accommodation reservations using computerized reservation and ticketing systems
4. Handle cancellations, schedule changes, and reimbursement requests
5. Provide customers with travel information including regulations, health requirements, attractions, and special events
6. Recommend suitable travel products based on customer needs
7. Manage difficult customer situations professionally
8. Attend to financial transactions such as plane tickets and insurance
9. Perform general office duties and develop contact lists

Qualifications:
1. Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
2. 1 to less than 2 years of relevant experience
3. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
4. Knowledge of travel software (Amadeus preferred), MS Office, and database systems
5. Experience with business, leisure, group, domestic, and international travel
6. Asset languages: Mandarin and Chinese
7. Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and handle repetitive tasks
8. Criminal record check required

Salary/Wage

$23.75 per hour, 35–40 hours per week (2% commission per sale and minimum wage guaranteed)
