Job Description

We are looking for 2-3 friendly and proactive team players to join us this season in helping to run our busy, family run campground. The successful candidate(s) will able to provide excellent customer service and carry out a variety of office and non-office based duties. The approximate split between office and non-office duties (cleaning, grounds keeping assistance) is 75 / 25.

Seasonal contract offered, starting early May until mid/late September 2026. Part-time to full-time hours available (up to approx. 30 hours per week).

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Duties (to include but not limited to):
• Respond positively to all customer inquiries – in person, over the phone, via email.
• Reservations – create, modify and cancel bookings using our web based reservation system (RMS).
• Provide a warm and helpful welcome / service to all visitors and guests.
• Provide campground and local information and help.
• Reservation and guest check in / check out.
• Take and process payment – reservation balances, general sales – firewood, ice, counter products etc through our reservation system (RMS).
• Open / close the office.
• Grounds keeping and light maintenance – watering plants, raking, regularly checking and emptying garbage points; picking up garbage and mess around the campground; unclogging toilets/sinks, checking power outlets/breakers.
• Cleaning – all areas of the campground i.e. the office / wash-house (kitchen, laundry room and bathrooms). This may include vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, wiping and cleaning surfaces, toilets, showers, garbage receptacles.
• Restocking – office supplies such as firewood, ice, counter products; wash-house items – soap, toilet paper, hand towel.

Essential / requirements –
• Polite and friendly manner
• Excellent customer service skills and able to professionally represent the campground
• Good communication skills
• Honest & reliable
• Ability to problem solve
• Able to work independently
• Be proactive with duties and responsibilities and able to prioritise these
• Good use of initiative
• Computer experience – able to comfortably navigate computers, reservation software, internet
• Basic math skills
• Physically able to carry out cleaning and groundskeeping duties such as raking leaves; carry & move heavy items – garbage bags, supply boxes (toilet paper / hand towel), firewood bundles
• Have accommodation in town or lined up for the start of season (May 1st). If wanting to live onsite – you must have your own RV (camper, trailer, fifth wheel or motorhome) which is in good condition and presentable.
• Be available to work daytime, evenings and weekends. Campground Office hours are from 8am – 7pm Monday – Sunday.

Salary/Wage

$25 p/h

Other Perks/Benefits

2-3 consecutive days off a week depending on schedule. Subsidized onsite accommodation available (full service RV site but you must have your own RV (trailer, motorhome, fifth wheel, Campervan which is in good shape / presentable).
