Job Description

Seair Seaplanes is currently seeking a reliable, motivated individual to join our team as a Dockhand. This dynamic, hands-on role supports daily operations on the dock and ramp, ensuring the safe and efficient turnaround of aircraft and a positive experience for passengers.

WORK HOURS: Shift includes both Saturday and Sunday, 20- 30hrs / week
LOCATION: Nanaimo (Departure Bay)
TERM: Part-Time, Seasonal

As a Dock Operations Crew Member, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
• Securing and releasing aircraft
• Handling baggage and cargo
• Loading and unloading aircraft
• Cleaning both the interior and exterior of aircraft
• Maintaining the cleanliness of aircraft docks and related areas
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment used by the department
• Refueling aircraft safely and efficiently
• Communicating clearly and effectively with team members
• Greeting and assisting passengers to and from aircraft
• Performing light maintenance tasks as needed
• Adhering to all company safety standards and procedures
• Additional duties as required

Responsibilities & Qualifications

What we’re looking for:
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
• Able to multi-task and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Strong team player who can also work independently when needed
• Self motivated with a solid work ethic
• Must have outstanding customer service skills
• Previous aviation or marine experience is a strong asset

Salary/Wage

$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
