Clearly, we are not out of the woods yet. Between now and summer, a climate of uncertainty will continue putting further pressure on each of your businesses. Getting to the other end is the primary goal of many businesses and know that there are countless individuals across the industry who are working to advocate for your interests.

At go2HR, we continue to focus on working collaboratively toward recovery, creating supportive resources and programs for employers. Here are some new offerings to put on your radar:

  • As shared with industry by Minister Mark at the BC Tourism and Hospitality Conference, we are developing an industry led online safety training certificate B SAFE, to ensure foundational health and safety knowledge in BC’s tourism and hospitality businesses to keep everyone safe as we move through the pandemic .Learn more about this training in the later article.
  • Last week, the BC Chapter of the Canadian Mental Health Association launched a digital hub with tools and resources to support mental wellness in our industry. We are working together on a webinar to support employers through difficult times as we know that there is a significant emotional toll to these transitions. Read more.
  • Don’t miss our upcoming webinar on navigating the new guidelines on recruiting and hiring international workers. The brightness that keeps us all going is that vaccine for all is clearly in our future. Let’s all do our part to protect our communities, workplaces, schools and homes and get vaccinated. Register to get vaccinated here – registration is helpful in getting shots in arm as fast as we can.

Our team is always here to answer your questions and provide the guidance you need on health and safety, human resources and training. We are your partner in building back a stronger community of our tourism and hospitality industry.

Stay well,
